Aquatic Therapy Programs - If your physician prescribes a pool therapy program, our physical therapists have the experience in designing a pool program specific to your needs. We also offer a SwimEx pool at our Norfolk and Wayne locations with their patented adjustable current and varying depths for patients.
Physical Therapy - HPT's physical therapists have over 60 years of combined experience in treating patients for injuries involving the knee, shoulder, ankle, leg, neck and back.
Athletic Training Services - Heartland Physical Therapy, Inc. offers over 60 combined years of athletic training experience. Our program offers weekly on-site school visits and event coverage at area high schools in and around Norfolk. Norfolk High School, Battle Creek High School, Pierce High School and Lutheran High Northeast all have HPT, Inc. athletic trainers available on a daily basis. Tim Ellis, MS, ATC supervises the athletic training staff of Kurt Schmoldt, MS, ATC, and Kris Luellman, ATC. In addition physical therapists Doug Junge and Andrea Blecke are also certified athletic trainers. Strength & Conditioning Programs - HPT has staff certified in developing strength and conditioning programs for patients of all ages.
Industrial Rehabilitation - We provide on-site inury screen and prevention programs at area businesses. We are experienced in job-site evaluations, working with the employer to come up with feasible ergonomic solutions. We perform Blankenship Functional Capacity Evaluations. We will work closely with the employer in injury prevention, on-site job evaluation and rehabilitation if requested by the plant nurse or physician.
Sports Physical Therapy - We offer Norfolk's only Sports Certified Specialists in Physical Therapy, physical therapists Shelly Koehler and Doug Junge. Combined, they have spent over 30 years covering sports and rehabilitating athletes from junior high to college.
Pediatric Physical Therapy - Physical therapist Amy Hughes offers over 22 years of experience in working with children in school systems in and around Norfolk. Amy has expanded her practice to include seeing children in our Norfolk location in the Creekwood Professional Park on North 37th Street.
